Kershaw Leonard opens Qatar Office

Kershaw Leonard officially opened its Doha office at a press conference and cocktail reception on Tuesday 5th June 2007.  Kershaw Leonard has also been strategic in its timing to open in Qatar. With Qatar booming as a result of its natural resources and Government policies ensuring diversity, recruitment is an obvious area for growth.

It is thought that Doha can only benefit from the establishment of this human resource and recruitment agency. Made up of highly qualified professionals, the KL team listens keenly to company recruitment needs and responds accordingly.  This reflects the KL commitment to finding ‘first class people’ for its ‘world-class clients’.

The launch featured the violinist Ms Saule Akberdiyeva Wall who flew from Dubai especially to feature in the event. A winner of the Lauriat Award for viola in Central Asia, she has performed with international symphony orchestras throughout Bavarian Europe and has also performed in a quintet at the palaces of St Petersburg.   Ms Saule Akberdiyeva Wall enchanted guests with her superb violin, playing modern and classical pieces during the launch.

Another significant feature of the evening was a speech and presentation by the Managing Partner of KL in Dubai, Mr. Mike Hynes.  The evening also featured the ceremonial ribbon cutting by both Mr. Tariq Jaidah, partner of KL Qatar, and Mr. Hynes, to open the offices and a guest tour of the offices and one-on-one interview rooms.

Although the event was attended by guests on an invitation-only basis, prospective clients including individuals and companies are welcome to make appointments or visit the offices for information or interviews.

The launch event was organised on by DPI thenetworkone and was held at KL’s offices in the Regus Business Centre.

Dubai’s leading recruitment consultancy simultaneously announces appointment of Mike Hynes as co-owner and Managing Partner, Middle East

Dubai – March 7th 2006 – Economic growth in the Middle East has seen a boom and a challenge for the recruitment industry in the region recently. Answering these challenges on these requirements is a key element of a successful consultancy, which is one reason Kershaw Leonard – the region’s leading recruitment consultancy – announced today that they are set to open an office in London. Managing Director Kathy Kershaw announced that she will be setting up the London office, using her experience in the region to deliver quality European candidates to companies in the Middle East who require expatriate staff. She also announced that Mike Hynes has joined her as co-owner and Managing Partner of the Middle East office, based in Dubai.

The regional recruitment market has matured significantly over recent years, as companies seek experienced professionals in the oil and gas, construction, IT and telecoms, sales and marketing, and financial sectors. A number of surveys, including some done by Kershaw Leonard, have clearly demonstrated this maturing of the market, and the recent expansion plans were developed to directly cater to the market needs.

“Since our Dubai inauguration in September 1999, we have been committed to providing 'First Class' people to 'World Class' clients,” said Kathy Kershaw, Manager Director. Kershaw Leonard’s first class reputation was built on being the contingency recruitment company of choice for senior and middle management as well as being specialists for the business support sector. The aggressive expansion plans beginning now will keep these activities as the core business, and will ensure the fundamental principles of people and relationships remain at the heart of the strengthened Kershaw Leonard.

“I am very excited about our expansion plans and I am also confident that Mike, with his breadth of experience in the region, will be a tremendous asset to the company in the UAE, further improving our standards and raising our level of expertise,” Kershaw added.

In his position as managing partner for the Middle East operations, Hynes brings more than 13 years of business experience in the Middle East to Kershaw-Leonard, which utilizes a highly specialised team to source the very best in permanent, temporary and contract staff.

“The HR business sector in Dubai is seeing phenomenal growth but with this has also come a greater choice of candidates and a more sophisticated set of criteria from the employers for them to meet. Kershaw Leonard is incredibly well placed to make sure the very best job seekers are placed in the right positions and can satisfy these higher demands from the employers.” Said Hynes “Becoming a partner and co–owner of such a prestigious company is a fantastic opportunity and I am thrilled at the prospect of directing the expansion plans as we move forward into the next chapter of Kershaw Leonard”
